Began Professional life as a primary school teacher in 1968. Began working as a School psychologist (Guidance Officer) in 1976. Went to part-time private practice in1986. Left Education Department in 1989 when I completed M.Psych and went into full time private practice.

For the first 20 years I saw mainly children and adolescents, many with severe trauma. Now I only see adults.

Still in private practice but only 2days Wednesdays and Thursdays. My practice now is mainly supervision and old clients.

Biography

Monica’s experience in the field of Psychology spans approximately twenty five years and has included work in the areas of sexual abuse and trauma, as well as anxiety, depression, anger management, grief and loss, parenting issues, phobias, sleep disturbance, self esteem, and stress management.

Monica has worked effectively with clients of all ages.  Her therapeutic style includes a range of modalities best suited to assisting her clients to reach their therapeutic goals.  She has training in clinical hypnosis, CBT, and trauma and grief work.  Her clients describe her as warm, caring, down to earth, practical and respectful.
