South Coastal Health and Community Services are seeking a registered or endorsed psychologist, or accredited mental health social worker to join their team as the Mental Health Services Manager. The Mental Health Services Manager is responsible for the management of the three mental health programs offered through South Coastal and funded by three separate funding bodies. Ensuring KPI’s are met and compliance reporting is up to date is essential.  As the Mental Health Services Manager you will be responsible for waitlist management, clinical guidance and supervision, team management, expenditure, and supporting growth of the mental health service. Our mental health team comprises psychologists, social workers and counsellors, early childhood educators so a good understanding of appropriate management of a multidisciplinary team is vital. South Coastal also offers mental health services under the Medicare Better Access scheme, so a good understanding of this scheme is highly desirable. The mental health manager will also be involved in the accreditation process South Coastal is currently undertaking in order to meet the National Mental Health Standards. The ability to identify and mitigate clinical risk is a requirement of this role. The Mental Health Services Manager will also maintain a small clinical load under Better Access, so the ability to obtain a Medicare Provider Number is essential.
