Biography

Janice started studying psychology in 1995, bringing lots of life experience with her. She worked at SafeCare Inc from 1999 and, until it closed in 2010. She acted as individual counsellor, group facilitator and Men’s Program Coordinator. She also provided individual counselling for adolescent offenders, parents, partners, victims and siblings. Since 2010, she has been working in private practice and continues to co‐facilitate a program for child sexual abuse and Internet offending with her colleagues from the SafeCare program. Janice takes a Psychodynamic‐Developmental approach in her practice, and draws on Interpersonal, Narrative and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies for focused strategies and interventions.
